Forensic Data Recovery on Phones

without comments

When it’s important to recover data in a way that allows it to be used legally, the process is known as forensic data recovery. Forensic data recovery is often used by the police to recover text messages that have been deleted from phones belonging to drug dealers and other types of law breaking individuals.

Here’s a post from North Yorkshire police’s HTCU () about their forensic data recovery procedures – https://www.northyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk/content/uploads/2016/10/Hi-Tech-Crime-Unit-Final-with-responses-Report.pdf

Here are some examples of recovering the data from broken mobile phones using forensic techniques.

forensic data recoveryI have an iphone SE and can’t access the phone because of screen issues. It doesn’t react to touch and there is also a grey vertical line on the screen. I’m interested in a quote for forensic data recovery and also repair+data recovery, and timings. There are messages on there that are deleted that need to be retrieved.

I was quad biking with my phone in my front pocket, the rain was hitting down hard and my phone got wet. it now does not seem to turn on or charge. I would like to retrieve my data if possible

My iPhone 6s is disabled. I have not backed it up recently. I do not have a trusted computer. There is no way I can back it up before recovering it – I don’t want to reset it as I will lose the data. Can you forensically recover the data for me before I reset it?

My phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) keeps rebooting constantly over and over again as soon as I turn the power on – it is stuck in a loop.
So, it seems that I cannot access any of the phone’s normal screen to back up my files. I tried to connect the phone to my computer to at least recover some files, but the computer does not seem to recognise it because of the rebooting issue – whereas before the icon for the phone would appear, now, it makes the sound signifying that something has just connected to the computer but then makes the sound signifying that it has disconnected, 1 second later.
I have many pictures and contacts on my phone that I really wish to forensically retrieve. If the phone can’t be put back to how it was before, I’d like them to be transferred onto something else, perhaps an SD card so I can put them on a new phone?
Is there anything you can do?
Could you please respond by email preferably, as I am unlikely to be at home during normal working hours. I am concerned about the legality of the data on the phone.

I have an old phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) which I’ve recently replaced but would like to recover some deleted photos and deleted WhatsApp and text messages from. Is that possible? Photos and texts/WhatsApp were all deleted in August 2017 and phone was replaced last week. Appreciate some may be overwritten but am hopeful of recovering some data?

Iphone 5: phone totally dead, won’t be recognised by computer + won’t charge
Possibly due to water damage (it was raining?)
Only want the photos from the last week of use! Thank you.
Contact via email preferable.

I dropped my Samsung s6 and the screen hasnt broken but he LCD underneath has been damaged and the screen has gone black. Its not unresponsive but i can see to use it. I need my photos and videos off of my phone as they are priceless and just had another baby so there are pics on there i really dont want to lose. Could you please let me know a price.

I have a smashed samsung s6 which I require the data from. The phone was broken in half but i save salvaged the memory chip klubg4g1bd from the logic board. Do you have the equipment to read this chip? i know the nuprog / dediprog reader is capable.

I accidentally dropped my Samsung S6 into the toilet about a month ago. It has never recovered. I wonder if there is anything data clinic can do for me in regaining all the information stored onto it forensically?, such as pictures, texts and phone numbers. I have no working number at the moment and would appreciate a response via email. I live in Northampton.
